Updated October 22, 2026

Each number move shows a status under Moves, in Phone system › Numbers. It tells you what the move waits on, from Waiting for signature to Done. Alori checks every day, and Check now checks right away.

Also called: port status, transfer status, porting progress, number move, statut du transfert, portabilité en cours, état du transfert

Step 1: Find your move

Click Phone system, then Numbers. Scroll to Moves. Each move shows its status, the date it's Planned for, and its numbers.

Click: Phone system › Numbers › Moves

Step 2: Read the status

  • Waiting for signature: the signer hasn't signed yet. Click Sign the authorization, or check the signer's email.

  • In review: the carriers are checking the request. Nothing to do.

  • In progress: the move is under way. Nothing to do.

  • Action needed: "The carrier needs something changed. Check the signer's email, or reply to our team."

  • With our team: these numbers are on another Twilio account. Our team asked Twilio to move them and will email you.

  • Done: the move is finished. Each number shows Arrived.

  • Canceled or Expired: the move stopped. Start a new one if you still want it.

Step 3: Check for news

Click Check now on a move that's still open to get the latest from the carriers.

Before you send: what each number badge means

  • Can move: it moves through Alori.

  • Already on Twilio: our team moves it with Twilio support: our team handles it.

  • Already in Alori: it's already one of your numbers.

  • Our team moves this one by hand: it isn't sent with this request. Contact support to move it.

  • Can't be moved to Alori: this number can't come over.

  • Couldn't check. Try again.: check again in a moment.

Good to know

  • A number that arrives shows in your numbers list and takes calls. Give it a Name and a Call flow there.

  • Keep your old provider until the move shows Done.

If it doesn't work

  • A number shows a reason in red. The carrier refused it. Fix what it says, or contact support.

  • "That didn't work. Try again." after Check now. Wait a moment and click again.
