Does my business have its own email address?
Yes. Every app has a public email, like yourname@mail4.alori.dev. Anyone can write to it, and their email lands in Conversations.
Yes. Every app comes with a public email address for general inquiries, like yourname@mail4.alori.dev, where yourname is your Alori address. Anyone can write to it, even people who aren't customers yet. Their email lands in Conversations, and your replies go out from that address. There's nothing to set up.
Also called: info email, general inquiry email, contact email, public email, inbox address, courriel public, demandes générales, adresse courriel, info@
Put it on your website, business cards, invoices and Google Business Profile. A customer you already have shows up on their record. Someone new becomes a new lead in your pipeline.
Step 1: Find your public email
In your app, open Settings › Email. Public email shows your address under General inquiries, the same way Calls shows your business number.
Click: Settings › Email
Step 2: Copy it and share it
Click the copy icon beside the address to copy it. Click Copy email link to copy a mailto: link for a button on your website. You can also ask Alori "what's our email address?" in Ask Alori.
Click: Settings › Email › Copy email link
Good to know
It follows your Alori address. Change your Alori address and the email address changes too. Emails sent to the old one still arrive.
Want info@yourdomain.com? It's optional. Create it with your email provider (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, as a group or a shared mailbox) and have it forward to your public email.
Spam is held back. Emails our mail server marks as spam or a virus don't reach Conversations. They're kept, not deleted, so Alori can let one through if it was real. Replies to your own emails always get through.
It's for one-to-one email. Each email can go to up to 10 people. Newsletters aren't sent from it.
Each email sent or received uses 0.01 credits.
If it doesn't work
"Emails still come in, but sending from this address is paused." Too many of your emails bounced or were reported as spam. Check your customers' email addresses, then contact Alori to turn sending back on.
A customer says their email didn't arrive. Check the spelling of your address. If it may have been marked as spam, contact Alori with the sender's address.
No Public email in Settings › Email. Your app shows it after its next update. Ask Alori in the meantime: it knows your address.
