How to find your Intercom access token

Updated October 22, 2026

Alori needs one key from Intercom to bring your help center over. Here's where to find it. It takes about two minutes, and you only do it once.

Before you start: you need to be an admin of your Intercom workspace. If you're not, send this page to the person who is.

Step 1: Open the Developer Hub

In Intercom, open Settings, then Integrations, then Developer Hub. Or go straight there: Open the Developer Hub.

In Intercom Settings, click Integrations, then Developer Hub

Step 2: Create an app

Click New app. Name it Alori, pick your workspace, then click Create app. The app stays private to your workspace: nothing is published.

Click New app, name it Alori, then click Create app

Step 3: Copy your access token

In your new app, open Configure, then Authentication. Copy the Access token: one long line of letters and numbers.

Open Configure, then Authentication, then copy the Access token

Step 4: Paste it in Alori

In Alori, open Import data, then Intercom. Paste the token, click Connect Intercom, then pick the help centers to bring over: Open Intercom import.

In Alori, open Import data, paste the token, then click Connect Intercom

Keep your token safe

  • Your token works like a password. Paste it only in Alori.

  • To take Alori's access away, delete the app in the Developer Hub.

If it doesn't connect

  • Copy the token again. It's one long line, so make sure you got all of it.

  • Check that you made the app in the workspace that has your help center.

  • Still stuck? Write to us in the chat on this page.
