Updated October 22, 2026

Click Test it to run an automation once, right now. Use its on/off switch to pause it and turn it back on. To delete it, open it, click Delete and confirm. You can also just ask your bot: "turn off the overdue invoice call".

Also called: turn off, stop, disable, try, run now, remove, désactiver, arrêter, tester, supprimer une automatisation

Step 1: Test it

On the automation's card under the bot's reply, click Test it. It shows Running it now, then It worked. or why it didn't.

A test runs even when the automation is off, on your newest matching record. It never reaches a customer: you get what the customer would have gotten, marked as a test. If there's no phone to send to, it says "It worked. The text went to your chat here: there was no phone to send it to."

Click: the automation's card › Test it

Step 2: Pause it or turn it back on

On the bot's page, under What I do on my own, flip the switch next to the automation. Off, it stops running until you turn it back on. A reminder that already went shows Done instead of a switch.

Click: What I do on my own › the switch

Step 3: Delete it

Under What I do on my own, click the automation to open it, then click the trash button (Delete). Confirm with Delete: "Delete this automation? It stops for good."

When it's open, you also see who set it up and its Recent runs: Worked, Failed, Running, Waiting or Skipped, with Test on test runs.

Click: the automation › Delete › Delete

From your CRM

In your team app, open Settings › Automations. Click one to open it: Test it, Change it (opens Ask Alori), the switch, Delete and Recent runs (click Refresh to update). Someone else's automation says "Set up by someone else: only they or the owner can change it."

If it doesn't work

  • "Your app needs an update first. Publish it once, then test again." Click Publish, then test again.

  • "Nothing to test it on yet. Add one, then test again." No record matches yet. Add one, like a deal, then test.

  • "Your app didn't answer. Try again in a minute." Wait a minute, then test again.

  • "Your app has no texting number yet." Get a business number in Phone system.

  • "That phone number can't get texts." Fix the person's mobile number.

  • "Out of credits." Add credits, then test again.

  • "That reminder already went, so it can't be turned back on." Ask your bot for a new reminder.

  • "The test didn't work. Try again." Try again. If it keeps failing, tell the bot what happened.
