Updated October 22, 2026

When the same person is in your app twice, merge them into one record. On Customers, click Merge customers, pick the two records, click Continue, choose the one to keep, then click Merge. Nothing is lost: the other record's work and history move to the one you keep.

Also called: duplicates, double entry, combine customers, same customer twice, fusionner des clients, doublons, client en double, combiner

Step 1: Open Merge customers

Open Customers and click Merge customers at the top right. On a phone, the button says Merge.

Click: Customers › Merge customers

Step 2: Pick the 2 records

Under Possible duplicates, Alori shows records with the Same phone or Same email. Click Choose on a pair to go straight to the next step. Or search with Find a customer, tick the 2 records, then click Continue.

Click: Choose, or the 2 records › Continue

Step 3: Choose which record to keep

Under Which record to keep?, each record shows its jobs, quotes and invoices, and since when it's a customer. Pick the one to keep. The other one goes away, and its jobs, quotes, invoices, messages, notes and tasks move to the one you keep.

Step 4: Merge

Click Merge. You see 2 customers merged into …. This can't be undone.

Click: Merge

Other ways to start

  • From the list: tick exactly 2 customers, then click Merge in the selection bar.

  • From a record: click ⋯ (More actions), then Merge with…, and pick the other record.

If it doesn't work

  • "No customer found." Check the spelling in Find a customer.

  • The Continue button is grey. Pick exactly 2 records. The line beside it says how many are picked.

  • No Merge customers button. Your role can view customers but not change them.
