Build, Ask or Plan: which mode should I use?
Build changes your app. Ask answers a question and changes nothing. Plan asks you a few questions, shows a plan, and builds it when you click Execute plan.
Use Build to change your app, Ask to ask a question without changing anything, and Plan for a bigger change you want to see planned and approve before Alori builds it.
Also called: mode, build mode, ask mode, plan mode, mode Construire, mode Demander, mode Planifier, plan first
Step 1: Pick a mode
The mode button sits at the bottom of the chat, next to the picture and pointer buttons. Click it and choose:
Build: "Alori changes your app."
Ask: "Ask a question. Nothing changes."
Plan: "Alori proposes a plan, you approve it first."
Click: Mode › Build, Ask or Plan
Step 2: In Plan, answer the questions
Describe the bigger change and send it. Alori may ask a few questions first, one at a time. Pick an answer, or choose Something else and type your own. Use Next and Previous question to move around. At the end you see Here's what you told me, where you can Change answer or add a note, then click Send answers.
Click: an answer › Next › Send answers
Step 3: Read the plan
Alori shows a plan card: a title, the steps, and what's Not included. Not quite right? Type what to change and Alori updates the plan. Nothing in your app has changed yet.
Click: nothing yet, read the plan
Step 4: Click Execute plan
When the plan looks right, click Execute plan. Alori switches to Build and builds all of it.
Click: Execute plan
When Build suggests a plan
If you ask Build for something big, Alori may ask: "This is a big project. Want me to ask a few questions and show you a plan before I build?" Click Ask me questions and plan it first to plan it, or Build it now to skip the plan.
If it doesn't work
The mode button is greyed out. Your message is still sending. Wait a moment.
"You're out of credits, so your changes are paused." Click Add credits, then try again.
The plan isn't what you meant. Don't click Execute plan. Say what to change in the chat first.
